Women's team The Northern Kentucky University women's basketball team has been named
the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament,
which will take place March 13-16 at The Bank of Kentucky Center.
The Norse (28-2) will face No. 8 seed Grand Valley State University (20-9) at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 13.
Other first-round games include: Noon - No. 3 Quincy (26-4) vs. No. 6 Drury (19-9) 2:30 p.m. - No. 2 Hillsdale (27-3) vs. No. 7 Indianapolis (22-9) 8:30 p.m. - No. 4 Michigan Tech (24-6) vs. No. 5 Northwood (Mich.) (21-7)
NKU
won the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship on Sunday with a
77-72 win over Quincy in the title game. Senior Jessie Slack scored 28
points en route to GLVC Tournament most valuable player honors. Senior
Cassie Brannen was also named to the all-tournament team.

for the NCAA Division II Women's Midwest Regional Tournament will be
available beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11. All tickets are
through Ticketmaster and can be purchased at http://www.bankofkentuckycenter.com. Ticket prices are $10 courtside reserve, $8 general admission, $4 student (with ID)/senior citizen reserve.
